“Autumn is here, so be prepared for sunshine and showers and gusts of wind – whether you want to rock that country look or sparkle in that perfect after work drinks or dinner oufit – ladies, we need layers !!!
The latest trend is changing it up a gear – we’re talking jumpers, polar necks, oversized coats and jackets to accommodate those extra layers we need. Layering is fun and creative – dress with accessories and mixing different colour combinations to look different, stand out in the crowd, look great and feel comfortable at the same time. To get layering right, there are a few basics that always work and are a must have in your wardrobe:
Mix button-down shirts with a notched or shirt collar in calm beige or whites, or make a splash with red tones or add a hint of gold. Use Peter Pan or Shawl collars for a gentler, more casual look. Of course, if you have plans for the evening, why not be a little more daring and make a statement with a Cascade collar – top your shirt with a jumper of your choice. Ideally match your jumper with one of the colours from your shirt especially if it’s multicoloured. If it’s a solid colour, then have fun with a patterned jumper! Top it all up with a coat or a jacket, and don’t forget to accessorise with a scarf or hat, or even ear-muffs!
